1. PORTER¹ ANDERSON was born 1863 in Kentucky, and died Aft. 1900. He married LUCY MASON April 12, 1895 in Logan Co., O.T.. She was born 1871 in Tennessee, and died Aft. 1900.

Children of PORTER ANDERSON and LUCY MASON are:

i. JOSIE² ANDERSON, b. 1895, Oklahoma.

ii. MARTHA ANDERSON, b. 1897, Oklahoma.

iii. WILLIE ANDERSON, b. 1898, Oklahoma.

 

Notes & Questions:  Porter was one of the first Black homesteaders in the area. Was he the son of the D. W. Anderson who was instrumental in the establishment of Douglas City?
