How to Subscribe & Unsubscribe

If you have found one or more of the groups you are researching in the above table, you are ready to subscribe. When sending commands to the listserver, choose the appropriate address from the table below and put just the command in the body of the message, with NO additional text. |

To start receiving messages, just send the command "subscribe" to OKTERR-L-request@rootsweb.com. |

To stop receiving messages, just send the command "unsubscribe" to OKTERR-L-request@rootsweb.com. |

DIGEST MODE |
To start receiving digests, send the command "subscribe" to OKTERR-D-request@rootsweb.com. |

NOMAIL |
There is no formal NOMAIL mode. All you have to do is follow the directions above and unsubscribe when you want the messages to stop, and then when you want them to start again, simply subscribe again. |

POST A MESSAGE |
If you'd like to post a message so everyone on the mailing list receives it, just send it to OKTERR-L@rootsweb.com. It will then be sent on to everyone in both mail and digest mode. You don't need to send it explicitly to both. |
