Elk Township (T12N-R1E) is in southeastern Oklahoma County, bounded on the east by the Lincoln County line. Its northern border is about 7 1/2 miles south of Luther, its western boundary is the Indian Meridian (about 1 mile east of Choctaw), and its southern one is East Reno (about 2 miles south of Harrah). Schools shown on the 1909 Topographical map include Peachgrove (on the southeast corner of Section 2) and Star (on the southwest corner of Section 4. |
